This week’s release is unusually hard electronic music by released last year at the Sostanze netlabel. It features monotonic, stomping, pure Breakbeats or Drum & Bass — I’m not so sure about the exact classification. Six tracks with well chosen names like Preludio or Santo Hertz await to thrill your nerves and your neighbours if you are blessed with decently sized speakers.
Libero Arbitrio is my favourite track from this release. After 42 seconds of intro with beats of increasing intensity and frequency, the song has some fourty seconds of cinematic string pads which could well accompany an action film car chase scene. The remaining three minutes repeats those two motives back and forth with varying intensity, making this song great for workouts… probably, I don’t do workouts.
